Ellen De Vos is the face behind Tekenwerken De Vos and has a background in visual and audiovisual arts. Her work combines realistic and figurative drawings with colorful animated films, created using colored pencils and mechanical pencils. Ellen utilizes various surfaces such as wood and papier-mâché, creating layered textures and vibrant color combinations. Since 2022, Ellen has focused on space travel, translating the elusive nature of space into detailed high-resolution pencil drawings. These works offer an imaginary journey through fantastical worlds where fiction and reality merge. Additionally, Ellen experiments with moving images, bringing her drawings to life in collaboration with musicians, resulting in immersive film experiences. These films further inspire her drawings. Ellen specializes in creating artificial biotopes and universes, and she invites you on a journey through mysterious fantasy worlds where fiction and reality blend seamlessly.
